My name is Rory Cello. I’m a female person. I live in the American Midwest, likely 1958. I solve crimes. A guy trashes my office one night — not good. Then there follows a decapitation on a train track, a sadistic little co-ed who thinks she’s cute… oh, yeah, and blackmail. Written in verse. Very simple verse. Read me.

Lawrence, A Memoir by Casey Farraday

Casey Farraday — an underemployed writer living in the San Fernando Valley with her dead taxidermied cat, Lawrence. Life is pretty decent until she meets this weird-ass family at the laundromat. There’s a handful of grisly events, a psycho killer gets involved, and Casey’s pretty sure one of these freaks stole her cat. Dark humor, but a good read. If you like that sorta thing.
